Three years in Kashmir, awesome time, humongous bungalow with two Chinar trees in front two corners, four mulberry trees on the back left-hand side, a kitchen garden opposite to the trees, badminton court, school just cross the road in front of the house.
Visuals of the gardens, the city is famous for, Kamala Nehru Park in Dal Lake & Shankara Charya temple hike right across. Char Chinar an island in the Jhelum River with four tall as high as 100′ at each corner of the island, a sightseeing place together with the ride in beautified “Shikara” (boats) or vendors with flowers or fruits & veggies on shikaras selling them. Like one is in dreamland known for the adage “If there is a heaven, it is here”.
In 1954 moved to New Delhi, Montessori schooling to Ramjas School #5, graduated from another school (DPTHSSchool), not getting admission in IITD hierarchically, joined Delhi University but later joined IITD in direct entry and graduated in 1970 in Electrical Engg.
A couple of years work stint in India followed by two years in London, England. Moved to the USA in 1974.
